programs in Java. The course emphasizes understanding why an when to use
a library resource and language feature. This is a hands-on course consisting
of 50% lecture and 50% programming exercises. Many examples of distributed programs
are presented, giving students an understanding of how to solve genuine enterprise
programming problems in Java.
Software engineers, programmers,
product designers, and technical managers.
This course assumes that participants have some Java programming experience and are comfortable with class based and object-oriented programming in Java. Familiarity with threads, input/output, and networking is useful, though not essential.
